FAQ

What is the purpose of a concrete curing blanket?

Concrete Curing Blankets (cement blankets) are expertly designed to regulate the temperature of freshly poured concrete during the crucial curing process. By controlling the temperature, these specialized tarp-like covers ensure optimal hardening and strength development. Their use is essential for achieving correct and efficient curing results.

How long should concrete blankets be left on?

The optimal duration for retaining concrete curing blankets can fluctuate based on various factors, such as:

• Weather conditions: Colder weather typically requires longer curing times.
• Concrete mix: Different types of concrete may require specific curing times as recommended by industry experts. These times should be closely followed for optimal results.
• Type of Blanket: Differing Insulation Level (R-value), as well as material breathability will influence how long the blanket should be left on.

What is the R value of a concrete curing blanket?

The thermal resistance of a concrete curing blanket is measured by its R-value. Essentially, this reflects the blanket's ability to insulate and retain heat. Higher R-values indicate better insulation.

What is an insulated concrete blanket?

This particular type of concrete curing blanket is specifically designed to regulate the temperature of recently poured concrete during the curing process. It typically incorporates insulating materials within the blanket to enclose heat and safeguard the concrete from cold weather conditions (especially in the winter), serving as an effective frost blanket for concrete.
